Jackknifed Semi-Truck and Dump Truck Crash Shuts Down Westbound Southern Boulevard in Palm Beach County
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA — A violent collision between a jackknifed semi-truck and a dump truck shut down all westbound lanes of Southern Boulevard early Tuesday morning, causing major delays and sending one person to the hospital, officials said.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene at 6:05 a.m. at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and D Road, where crews found the semi-truck twisted across the roadway and the dump truck heavily damaged after the crash. Emergency personnel treated one injured individual who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. No additional details on their condition have been released.
According to CBS12, the crash forced authorities to close all westbound lanes of Southern Boulevard. Cleanup efforts and vehicle recovery operations caused major backups stretching from Big Blue Trace to Binks Forest, prompting officials to advise drivers to expect significant delays or use alternative routes.
Traffic crews remained on scene throughout the morning to clear debris and remove the damaged trucks. The cause of the crash has not yet been released, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
