Investigators reported that the log truck lost control and overturned onto the shoulder, leaving the vehicle on its side with its load scattered. Troopers confirmed that Hager sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, all lanes of MS-3 remain closed while authorities continue their investigation and work to remove the overturned log truck. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, use caution, or take alternate routes until the roadway can be safely reopened.
Details regarding what caused the truck to lose control have not yet been released, and the investigation remains active.
