Driver Airlifted After Log Truck Rolls Over in Ebony Area of Brunswick County
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA — A log truck overturned in the Ebony area of Brunswick County Wednesday morning, sending the driver to the hospital by helicopter, according to the Ebony Volunteer Fire Department.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, for a reported crash involving a person trapped in a log truck, officials said.
Fire crews arrived to find a single-vehicle crash with the log truck overturned. The fire department said the driver was assisted out through the windshield area by a passerby before responders arrived.

Officials said Central Rescue Squad arrived around the same time as fire units and took over patient care. Due to the severity of the crash, the driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Crews were cleared from the scene around 10:50 a.m., though the truck and spilled logs were beginning to be removed, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation.
