Trapped Driver Freed and Airlifted After Semi-Truck Rolls Over on I-10 in Willcox
WILLCOX, Arizona — A semi-truck rollover on Interstate 10 left one driver seriously injured Friday morning, prompting a major rescue response in Cochise County, according to local fire officials.

Willcox Fire-Rescue units R331 and B331 were dispatched around milepost 336 after reports of a commercial vehicle rollover with entrapment. When crews arrived, they found the truck overturned in the median and the driver pinned beneath the steering column and dashboard.

Firefighters used a combination of hydraulic and battery-powered spreaders and cutters to free the trapped driver. Once extricated, the victim was transported to Northern Cochise Community Hospital, where LifeNet 8 Willcox later airlifted the driver for advanced medical care.

Officials have not yet released the driver’s condition or the cause of the rollover, which remains under investigation according to KVOA News.
