Overturned Tractor-Trailer Sends Driver to Hospital and Causes Diesel Leak on I-77 in Carroll County
CARROLL COUNTY, Virginia — A tractor-trailer rollover on Interstate 77 North near the 23-mile marker sent one driver to the hospital Saturday, according to the Hillsville Fire Department.

Crews arrived to find the truck overturned in the median, with the driver already self-extricated before first responders reached the scene. Carroll County Fire & Rescue transported the individual to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters worked to mitigate a large diesel fuel leak before turning the scene over to the towing company and the Virginia State Police, who are leading the investigation into what caused the crash.
