MIDDLETOWN, PENNSYLVANIA — Kuppy’s Diner in Middletown is determining next steps after its neon sign was damaged when a tractor-trailer struck the sign’s pole, also causing roof damage to the diner on Monday.
The diner said the neon sign had been standing for almost 93 years before it was hit.
Kuppy’s Diner told WGAL News 8 that the tractor-trailer driver did not stop after the crash. The diner said a police report has been filed.
The diner said it can be difficult to find businesses that work with neon signage. The diner also said several customers have reached out and provided contacts who may be able to help repair the sign.
The incident remains under investigation.
