Person Hospitalized After Collision With Tractor-Trailer on South Kings Highway

HORRY COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer along Kings Highway in the Surfside Beach area, Horry County Fire Rescue said.
The crash happened along South Kings Highway near Catherine Avenue, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

Crews responded at 3:10 p.m. and transported one person to the hospital. The extent of the person’s injuries was not released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. The Surfside Beach Fire Department and Horry County police also assisted at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
