Firefighters Free Sand Dump Truck Driver After Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 247
HOUSTON COUNTY, GEORGIA — A dump truck hauling sand rolled over on Highway 247 in Houston County on Monday, and firefighters performed an extrication to free the truck’s driver after the crash involved two vehicles, officials said.

According to the Houston County Fire Department, crews responded to Highway 247 near Green Street after receiving reports of a sand truck rollover. Fire officials said the accident involved two vehicles and required a “simple extrication” to remove the dump truck driver from the vehicle.
Officials said neither driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office was contacted for additional information, and updates are expected as more details are released.
