Tractor-Trailer Crash Injures Two and Shuts Down I-81 South in Botetourt County
BOTETOURT COUNTY, VIRGINIA — A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County injured two people Tuesday and temporarily shut down all southbound lanes before traffic was later restored, according to state and local officials.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said the crash occurred at mile marker 169 on I-81. The Botetourt County Department of Fire & EMS said two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials said the crash led to the closure of all southbound lanes. As of around 5:00 p.m., VDOT reported that both southbound lanes had reopened.
