MILLARD COUNTY, UTAH — Three people were injured after a crash between a semi-truck and a passenger car on Interstate 15 in Millard County Tuesday morning, with Utah Highway Patrol reporting one person was critically injured and hospitalized while two others suffered moderate injuries.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Alexander said the crash happened in the southbound lanes near mile marker 132, about 20 miles north of Beaver. The cause of the crash was not disclosed.

Sgt. Alexander said two people sustained moderate injuries, and a third was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Traffic cameras in the area showed the semi-truck stretched across the median between the northbound and southbound lanes, and Alexander said only one lane was blocked.

The Utah Department of Transportation first reported the crash just after 7:30 a.m., warning drivers to expect delays. By 8:30 a.m., traffic appeared to be minimally impacted.

The investigation remains ongoing.
