TUSCUMBIA, MISSOURI — A tractor-trailer carrying 650 hogs rolled over in Miller County on Friday, forcing the closure of Route HH near Tuscumbia as troopers investigated and responders dealt with the aftermath of the crash, including significant livestock losses.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a social media post that Route HH near Tuscumbia was closed due to the rollover. Authorities said the crash involved a tractor-trailer loaded with hogs.
Officials reported that out of 650 hogs, a little over 200 did not survive.
No additional details about injuries, what caused the rollover, or how long the roadway would remain closed were released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
