RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA — A crash on Interstate 476 southbound in Radnor Township left a sedan wedged underneath a Walmart tractor-trailer Thursday morning, snarling traffic as lanes were temporarily closed while crews and police worked the scene.

The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-476, just south of Exit 13, according to reports from the scene. Aerial footage showed the passenger car lodged under the rear portion of the tractor-trailer as traffic slowed and drivers merged to get past the wreck.

Police said the female driver of the sedan was pulled out of the vehicle and rushed to the hospital to be treated for a head injury. No other injuries were immediately reported.

Officials said two lanes were briefly closed during the investigation and response, contributing to heavy backups through the area. All lanes reopened around noon, according to police. The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
