The Milford Fire Department said crews responded around 9:40 a.m. to the area of the Secondi truck stop after receiving reports that a tow truck driver was trapped and needed extrication. Responders were able to open the driver’s door to access the driver and provide needed medical treatment.

Officials said three people were evaluated at the scene, and one person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A hazmat team was called to manage approximately 20 gallons of fluids that leaked from the vehicles involved. Authorities confirmed no waterways were affected, and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified about the spill.
