Washington State Patrol troopers responded on Jan. 12, 2026, to the connection from I-90 westbound to I-405 for a crash involving a commercial semi hauling an oversized load of metal sheets.

WSP District 2 Public Information Officer Rick Johnson said the load shifted and “ended up penetrating the cab.”

Officials said no injuries were reported. A wrecker was called to help clear the truck from the scene.

Troopers did not release details on what caused the load to shift. The incident remains under investigation.
