Volvo Semi Rear-Ends Kenworth Falls as Cab Catches Fire on I-15 in Idaho

IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO — Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 5:50 a.m. yesterday morning on Interstate 15 in Idaho Falls that briefly blocked traffic after a semi’s cab caught fire.
Police said a Kenworth semi traveling southbound was rear-ended by a Volvo semi, also traveling southbound. Both vehicles came to rest near milepost 125, where the Volvo blocked both southbound lanes.
Troopers said the cab of the Volvo caught fire, but the fire was extinguished and crews worked to clear debris from the roadway.
Authorities said both drivers were wearing seatbelts and neither was injured. The crash remains under investigation.
