KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — A fully loaded double semi-truck left Interstate 90 and ended up in a pond near Ellensburg, landing about 50 feet off the roadway in 3 to 4 feet of water, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened near milepost 107 and was caused by distracted driving. The semi was not blocking any lanes and traffic was not impacted, WSP noted.
The driver’s condition was not immediately known, and officials did not say when crews expect to remove the truck from the water.
