49-Year-Old Texas Truck Driver Found Dead Inside Semi Cab During Welfare Check on I-10 in Florida

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — A 49-year-old truck driver from Wharton, Texas, was found dead Tuesday afternoon inside his tractor on Interstate 10, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded at 1:06 p.m. to westbound I-10 at mile marker 28 for a welfare check on a semi-truck. When they arrived, they found the occupant of the truck tractor unconscious inside the cab.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Authorities said there were no apparent signs of foul play. The incident remains under investigation.
