PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — Philadelphia police have identified the driver wanted in connection with the deadly hit-and-run crash in Frankford that killed 39-year-old motorcyclist Jason Harvey, sources confirmed to Action News on Friday.

Investigators say detectives have identified the driver of the modified tow truck marked with the signage "Hooked Up" and are preparing to pursue an arrest warrant. The driver fled the scene after a vehicle being towed came loose and crashed head-on into Harvey along the 4000 block of Frankford Avenue last Saturday. Detectives later recovered the abandoned tow truck in the parking lot of an apartment building on the 1000 block of East Lycoming Avenue, approximately one mile from the crash scene.

Harvey, 39, of Southampton, Bucks County, was transported to Temple University Hospital following the crash, where he was pronounced dead. No arrest has been announced at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
