A large fire caused major damage at a Love’s Travel Centers location in Indiana on Thursday.

The fire was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. on February 10 at the Love’s in Gary, Indiana.

Local outlet ABC7 reports that the fire destroyed a Denny’s restaurant adjacent to the truck stop.

“All commuters: we are asking you to divert your traffic away from Grant Street between the expressway and 35th Avenue. The Gary Fire Department is working hard to contain the fire at Love’s Truck Stop. Please keep the area clear for emergency vehicles. Do not come to the area or on to the property to sightsee or take photos!” the Gary Police Department said around noon.

Love’s says that the store is closed indefinitely. The company says that all workers and customers were able to exit the building safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

This is a developing story.
