A trucker has been arrested after stealing a semi truck in an apparent attempt to replace one he got stuck in the mud.

39-year-old Joshua Osborne was arrested on Friday morning, April 29th in Hamburg, Iowa.

According to 6 News, Osborne was driving his semi truck near Main and Willis in Hamburg when he somehow got his rig stuck in the mud. Police believe that Osborne then broke into another semi truck that was parked nearby and drove away from the scene.

Osborne then reportedly left the semi truck and trailer and ran into an abandoned house nearby. Police eventually discovered Osborne’s hiding spot with the help of a police K9.

Osborne has since been arrested on charges of operating without owner’s consent and 3rd-degree burglary. He is being held in jail on a $5,000 bond.
