CHP: Avoid NB Highway 101 after semi crash, cleanup

The California Highway Patrol is urging drivers to avoid NB highway 101as crews work to clear a semi truck crash.
The crash happened at around 4:40 a.m. on May 20th but traffic was still backed up as of 1:15 p.m.
According to KSBY 6 News, the truck was driving along northbound Highway 101 in Santa Maria when officers say the driver made an ‘unsafe turning movement,’ struck a guardrail, and overturned. The truck was hauling produce. Crews are working to salvage as much food as they can and load it onto another truck.

California Highway Patrol is urging drivers to use Highway 1 as an alternate route.
