A tanker truck driver survived a Tuesday morning rollover crash in Michigan, according to local first responders.
The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, in South Haven, Michigan.
South Haven Area Emergency Services said that a tanker truck rolled while making a turn at the intersection of M-43 and Blue Star Memorial Highway.
The rollover crash crushed the cab of the truck, but the driver was able to get out with help from a Good Samaritan passing by.
Authorities said that the tanker was hauling a “full load of human waste sludge” from the South Haven sewer treatment plant. Luckily, none of the sludge leaked from the topped tanker, but the contents had to be off-loaded.
