A toll booth worker was briefly trapped on Friday morning after a semi truck struck the structure, knocking it over.

The incident happened on July 29th at around 7 a.m. in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

According to WSAZ 3 News, the truck was hauling a wide load along the West Virginia Turnpike when it struck a booth at the 83 mile marker toll plaza, knocking it over.

A worker inside the booth was trapped for a short period of time before other Turnpike employees were able to help them out.

The worker sustained minor injuries in the incident and was transported to a hospital.

Two lanes were shut down for several hours as crews worked to remove the truck and trailer from the toll plaza.
