A semi truck driver was on the scene when a suspected intoxicated woman drove a golf cart onto a busy Florida interstate.

The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, on I-95 in Sebastian, Florida.

A semi truck driver spotted a woman later identified as 58 year old Diane Hawk driving a golf cart in the center lane of I-95.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that the truck driver used her vehicle to guide the golf cart onto the shoulder of the interstate.

Once on the shoulder, the truck driver was able to take away the golf cart’s keys to keep Hawk from driving away.

When police arrived on the scene, Hawk reportedly became combative and insisted that she needed her bag. Officers found an open bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire Whiskey inside the bag.

Local outlet WESH also reports that when asked for her license, Hawk handed over a credit card and then a restaurant card instead.

Hawk was placed under arrest and faces charges of disorderly intoxication in a public place and resisting an officer without violence.
