A wreck involving a single tractor trailer left behind a serious mess in Tennessee on Tuesday evening.

The accident happened on August 30th in Memphis at around 4:45 p.m. and continued well into the night.

According to Fox 13 News, the tractor trailer hauling alfredo sauce struck a retaining wall along northbound Interstate 55 near McLemore Avenue. The force of the impact ripped open the trailer and spilled a considerable amount of alfredo sauce all along the road.

A woman was taken to a nearby hospital with non critical injuries – it is not clear if she was the truck driver. Reporters in the area say you could smell the sauce in the air due to the sheer quantity of spilled product.

The spilled sauce spread across all southbound lanes and even a few northbound lanes. Cleanup of the mess continued until after 11 p.m. that evening. The roadway has since been cleared,  but no further information has been released.
