Truck driver ejected after losing control on Wolf Creek Pass

A semi truck driver was hospitalized following an early morning crash that happened on Sunday at the top of Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado.
South Fork Fire Rescue responded to a crash on Highway 160 near the Wolf Creek Ski Area at 3:23 a.m. on October 9.
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) reports that the 43 year old Florida-based truck driver missed a curve and veered off the highway into the side of the mountain, traveling 88 feet before coming to a stop.
South Fork Fire Rescue were able to place struts to stabilize the trailer and then extricated the truck driver. He was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Local outlet KKTV reported that alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
The crash is under investigation by CSP.
