Firefighter struck by semi truck unable to slow for traffic

A firefighter was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning after being struck by a semi truck.
The accident happened on April 22nd at 6:46 a.m. in Venango County, Pennsylvania.
According to The Butler Eagle, the fire fighter was directing traffic following an accident on westbound I-80 between Exit 45 and Exit 42 when he was hit by a semi truck.
A medical helicopter was called, but the unnamed firefighter was ultimately transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
It is not clear what citations, if any, were issued to the truck driver.
