Former late night talk show host Jay Leno gets behind the wheel of a Tesla Semi to test out the electric vehicle’s drivability and in-cab comfort.

On October 2, a new episode of the automotive reality series “Jay Leno’s Garage” was released.

In the episode, Leno meets with Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen and Tesla’s Senior Manager of Semi-Truck Engineering Dan Priestley to talk about the features of the truck.

“I feel like Captain Kirk sitting in this thing!” Leno quips as he enters the cab and takes the center driver’s seat.

Von Holzhausen and Priestley give Leno a detailed walkthrough of the features of the Tesla Semi, then they allow him to take the Tesla Semi for a test drive.

After a bobtail test drive, the Tesla team hooks up a trailer loaded with a second Tesla Semi to the truck Leno is driving. Leno is impressed by the way that the truck handles the load, remarking, “I don’t even feel like I’m pulling anything.”
