Motorists pulled over for tailgating semi truck arrested for lots of drugs

A pair of motorists pulled over for tailgating semi truck were arrested late last month after an officer found a large collection of drugs in their trunk. 

 

The incident occurred on March 21st in La Porte County, Indiana on the Indiana Toll Road. 

According to Hometown News Now, 28-year-old Sadiq Heyward and 27-year-old Chelsea Hahn were in a car that was tailgating a semi truck, which caused a police officer to pull them over. 

When the officer approached the car, he smelled marijuana, so he searched the vehicle and found a suitcase in the trunk loaded with 102 grams of ecstasy, 39 grams of cocaine, 17 grams of methamphetamine, and 11 pounds of marijuana, as well as a handgun with ammunition. 

In addition to the drugs and gun, officers found plastic baggies and a scale. Heyward and Hahn were arrested and remain in custody on $50,000 bond. They were charged with dealing drugs.
