A truck driver shared alarming video of the aftermath of a suspected tornado that touched down in the Atlanta area on Monday.

Severe weather swept through Georgia on Monday, with a likely tornado touching down in the metro Atlanta area. Police confirmed that a motorist in Douglasville, Georgia, was killed in the storm after a tree fell on his SUV.

Truck driver Patrick Markowitz, who was in the Atlanta area when the storm touched down, shared video that he says captures the devastation at the Americold facility. “Whole bunch of trucks tipped over over here and the building’s destroyed,” he remarked as he drove by.

A tornado watch remains in effect in northern Georgia through 4 p.m. on Monday. Severe weather including storms, high winds, brief tornadoes and hail are possible for Georgia on Tuesday as well.
