Truck driver faces 45 charges following 2021 crash into multiple vehicles, garage

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) announced that a truck driver is facing dozens of charges related to a June 2021 crash in a Nashville neighborhood.
Forty-one year old truck driver Abdalla Arbo was indicted by a grand jury on 45 charges including 32 counts of forgery and multiple motor carrier safety rules violations, according to a May 21 news release from MNPD.
Other charges include two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by reckless driving, and five counts of reckless endangerment by a motor vehicle.
According to police, on June 24, 2021, Arbo was operating a semi truck at Elm Hill Pike and Wanda Drive when a Honda Accord turned right in the pathway of the semi.
Arbo reportedly swerved to avoid a crash but hit the Honda, a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Ford Escape, then crashed into a residential yard and garage.
Arbo and three others were injured.
A months-long investigation conducted by Tennessee Highway Patrol and MNPD crash investigators found falsified logbooks and unreported brake issues with the Freightliner that Arbo was operating.
Arbo is being held on a $75,000 bond.
