Dollar General Semi Finally Freed After Getting Wedged on Fish Creek Bridge Near Tortilla Flat

TORTILLA FLAT, ARIZONA — Crews worked to remove a semi-truck that became wedged on a bridge along State Route 88 near Tortilla Flat, temporarily blocking traffic east of the Valley, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS said a Dollar General truck became stuck on the Fish Creek Bridge near milepost 223. The Arizona Department of Transportation responded and worked to remove the truck, which shut down traffic through the area while crews carried out recovery efforts.
Officials said the truck was successfully freed around noon.
Authorities did not immediately say why the truck was on the roadway or how it became stuck.
