Trucker trapped by fallen tree

A trucker was rescued by firefighters after getting trapped in his cab by a fallen tree in Florida early on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. in Lake City, Florida on State Road 247.
According to 20 ABC, the truck driver was traveling in bad weather when the tree began to fall. The driver was unable to avoid the tree before it fell on top of his cab, crushing the roof and trapping the driver inside.
Columbia County Fire Rescue was able to free the driver from the wreckage. The driver sustained only minor injuries in the incident.
Columbia County officials warn that storms are expected throughout Thursday morning.
