Truck Driver Sentenced to 8 Years for Intentionally Crashing Into Tennessee Kroger Store

A truck driver has been sentenced to eight years in prison after deliberately driving his truck through the front entrance of a Kroger grocery store in Millington, Tennessee.
The incident occurred in April 2024 when Clarence Carter first entered the store on foot, causing a disturbance. After exiting, he intentionally rammed his truck into the front of the store. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
When officers arrived, Carter was attempting to drive the truck out of the building but was quickly taken into custody.
Public Safety Director Chief Gary Graves stated that officials had to dismantle parts of the truck to safely remove it from the building.
Carter pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and received an eight-year prison sentence. He requested a suspended sentence, but the court denied his request.
