TOWSON, Md. — A tractor trailer carrying 6,000 gallons of milk overturned early Saturday on Interstate 695 in Towson, spilling milk across the roadway and into a nearby creek.
The Maryland Department of the Environment advised drivers that any unusual odor while traveling through Towson on the Beltway is due to the milk spill and is not a cause for concern.
As the milk begins to sour, a strong stench may linger in the area.
In addition to the milk, officials said 75 gallons of diesel fuel were also recovered from the scene. No injuries were reported in the crash.
