PARADISE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A tractor-trailer slammed into a roadside billboard early Friday morning, triggering a power outage and shutting down a major highway in Lancaster County for over twelve hours.

The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Highway/Route 30 and Church Street in Paradise Township. Photos from the scene show the front of the tractor-trailer wedged into the base of the billboard structure.

Utility provider PPL confirmed that the crash caused a power outage affecting approximately 30 customers in the area. Power has since been restored.

Lincoln Highway/Route 30 was closed for more than twelve hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage and repair the damage. The road has now reopened.

There is no official word yet on the cause of the crash or the condition of the truck driver. Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation.
