WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) — A section of Route 11 in St. Lawrence County was shut down for several hours Friday morning following a crash between an SUV and a tractor-trailer just north of Gouverneur.
State police say the collision happened shortly before 10 a.m. when 26-year-old Darryl Martinez of Elizabeth, New Jersey, turned into the path of the tractor-trailer driven by 42-year-old Arthur Wilson IV of Ogdensburg.
Photos from the scene show the tractor-trailer overturned on its side and the SUV flipped onto its roof.
Martinez was transported to Gouverneur Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Wilson was not injured.
Route 11 has since reopened to traffic.
