An Amazon semi-truck overturned early Monday morning on Interstate 20 near Rabbit Creek in Gregg County, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver was heading west around 2 a.m. when they fell asleep and struck the inside concrete barrier. The impact caused the truck to flip over the barrier and land upside down in a culvert. The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck and trailer were heavily damaged and packages were thrown from the trailer but did not spill onto the highway. Crews brought in three dumpster bins to clear the damaged cargo, according to KLTV.
