Frozen Food Truck Overturns and Catches Fire on I-376 Near Pittsburgh Airport

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A tractor-trailer carrying frozen food overturned and caught fire Thursday morning, shutting down eastbound lanes of Interstate 376 (Parkway West) near Pittsburgh International Airport.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened when the truck took a ramp too fast, causing it to roll over. Despite the dramatic scene and resulting fire, no injuries were reported, police confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4.
Sky 4, Pittsburgh’s only news helicopter, captured images of the overturned truck and scattered cargo at the crash site. Emergency crews worked quickly to contain the situation, reopening one lane in the eastbound direction shortly before 7 a.m., according to WTAE.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
