Two Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer and Pickup Truck Crash on U.S. 29 in Campbell County

Late Tuesday night, a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck occurred on U.S. Route 29 in Campbell County, Virginia, leaving two of the three people involved hospitalized.
According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened in the northbound lane of U.S. 29 near English Tavern Road, in the vicinity of Hyland Heights Baptist Church. Emergency crews responded promptly to the scene, which showed significant damage to the vehicles involved.
A firefighter at the scene confirmed that two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed. The third person involved in the crash did not require hospitalization.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) assisted with traffic control while authorities investigated the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
