Van Slams Into Rear of Tractor-Trailer, Sending Debris Across Lanes in Cherry Hill, New Jersey
CHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEY — A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Chevy van shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 295 on Wednesday, creating a midday traffic backup near the Route 70 exit before the roadway was later reopened.

The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m., when the northbound van struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on I-295. Chopper footage from local news outlets showed extensive debris scattered across the highway and significant front-end damage to the van. Emergency crews responded quickly while traffic was diverted from the area.

According to CBS Philadelphia, the van’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken for medical treatment. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured. All lanes of I-295 north were initially closed to allow cleanup and investigation but have since reopened, according to 511NJ.
