An Illinois based carrier that employed hundreds of truck drivers shut down for good, according to multiple reports.

Burridge, Illinois-based Dillon Logistics ceased operations at midnight on Tuesday, according to multiple driver and media reports.

The privately-held company has yet to make an official statement.

The company website says that Dillion Logistics operated 450 tractors and 700 trailers. The FMCSA’s SAFER website indicates that the company operated 323 power units and employed 342 drivers.

Dillon Logistics had terminals in Atlanta; Dallas; Heidelberg, Mississippi; McCook, Illinois; Medina, Ohio; Michigan City, Indiana; Mulberry, Florida; Savannah, and Tampa.

The company could not be reached by phone for comment. The company’s Facebook page is no longer active.

Dillon Logistics was founded in 1980 by Jeff Dillon and specialized in asphalt, chemical, and dry bulk transportation.

Already, multiple trucking companies are offering to take in out of work Dillon truck drivers.

This is a developing story.
