MONTICELLO, Minn. — Heavy snow and rapidly deteriorating road conditions contributed to a multi-semi crash on eastbound Interstate 94 Tuesday afternoon, spilling a large load of wood pallets across the highway and causing major traffic delays.

Traffic cameras near the Highway 25 bridge captured the aftermath, showing debris scattered across the snow-covered roadway and at least three semi-trailers involved in the collision. A passenger vehicle was also towed from the scene as cleanup operations continued.

Several heavy tow trucks were working to clear the damaged semis and debris as of 4:20 p.m., while drivers in the area faced long delays on the already hazardous stretch of interstate.

There is currently no information on injuries, and officials have not yet released details on what led to the crash.

According to Bring Me The News, road conditions across central Minnesota continue to worsen as the snowstorm intensifies.
