Firefighters in Grand Prairie, Texas, are investigating an early morning fire at a polyethylene plant that left nearly a dozen trucks destroyed.

The Grand Prairie Fire Department responded to a reported truck fire at the Poly-America facility around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the fire, but eleven trucks were “fully destroyed.”

No injuries were reported.

Hazmat crews have been called in to respond to spilled diesel fuel. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Poly-America plant produces several types of polyethylene products, including trash bags.

In August 2020, a massive fire was reported at the same facility. Firefighters say that that fire occurred because an overhanging power line fell onto plastic sheeting located in a storage area. You can see video from the August 2020 fire below.
