Pedestrian Killed After Walking Into Path of Semi-Trailer on Kilpatrick Turnpike in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA — A person died Friday afternoon after being struck by a semi-trailer on the Kilpatrick Turnpike in northwest Oklahoma City, authorities said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said the semi-trailer hit and killed a pedestrian on the turnpike near Meridian Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.
Aerial footage from the scene showed troopers blocking off two westbound lanes of the Kilpatrick Turnpike while the crash was investigated.

Troopers said video from the semi-trailer showed a person walking onto the turnpike and into the vehicle’s path.
The identity of the person who died has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
