Texas Truck Driver Arrested in Toledo After Spouse Found Seriously Injured Inside Semi, Later Dies
TOLEDO, OHIO — A truck driver from Abilene, Texas, remains in custody in Toledo after authorities said his spouse was found seriously injured inside a semi-truck and later pronounced dead following an incident reported Wednesday.
Court documents state 61-year-old James Miller was arrested by Toledo police after investigators found his spouse inside the semi with “facial injuries consistent with an assault.” Officials said the victim was ultimately declared deceased. Authorities have not released the spouse’s name or additional personal details.
Investigators said details remain limited, but court records indicate Miller admitted he had been with the victim “for several days” prior to her death.
Miller was booked into the Lucas County Corrections Center on a felony charge listed as “assault victim seriously harmed.” He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
