Owner Says Thieves Stole Two Semis Worth Thousands in Jersey Village and Drove Off in Dodge Charger
JERSEY VILLAGE, TEXAS — A Jersey Village man says two 18-wheelers he invested thousands of dollars into were stolen just days after Christmas, and surveillance video shows two suspects arriving in a Dodge Charger before leaving the area with one of the semis following closely behind.

According to the alleged victim, Alex Garfias, the theft happened on December 27 near the intersection of Sam Houston Tollway.

He said he had put significant money into the trucks, estimating he invested about $30,000 to $35,000 into the vehicles.

Video from the scene reportedly shows two suspects inside a Dodge Charger approaching the trucks at about 9:00 a.m. Moments later, the Charger is seen leaving, with one of the semis trailing behind, indicating at least one truck was driven away from the location.

Garfias said he still does not understand how the trucks were taken, noting that he had the keys in his pocket at the time. “I know, it’s hard to get them, but I don’t even know how they did it,” Garfias said. “I mean, I have the keys of the trucks, just in my pocket. I don’t know how they did it.”

A police report has been filed with the Houston Police Department, and no suspects have been identified as of the latest update.
