Tractor-Trailer Overturns on I-95 South Near Fort Pierce and Blocks Three Left Lanes Causing Delays

FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA — A tractor-trailer overturned Sunday afternoon on Interstate 95 South in St. Lucie County near Fort Pierce, temporarily blocking multiple lanes and causing traffic delays before the roadway reopened, according to FL511 and the Florida Highway Patrol.

Officials said the crash occurred near mile marker 137 and was reported in the mid-afternoon. FL511 indicated the semi overturned around 2:23 p.m., with three left lanes blocked, narrowing traffic to two lanes as troopers worked the scene.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded and urged motorists to expect delays or seek alternate routes.

In a later update, officials said the wreckage was cleared and all lanes reopened. The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
