Tractor-Trailer Hits Northeast Nelson Fire Truck on Bluegrass Parkway; Deputies Investigating

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office says a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Northeast Nelson fire truck is under investigation after crews responded to an injury collision on the Bluegrass Parkway on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026.

In a social media update posted around 6 p.m., the sheriff’s office said Nelson County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with Nelson County Fire and Nelson County EMS, responded to the scene. Officials stated the tractor-trailer collided with the fire truck, and the incident is being investigated by Deputy R. Downs.

Authorities said those involved were able to leave with non-life-threatening injuries, and the investigation remains ongoing.
