Body Found Inside Parked Tyson Foods Trailer at Kansas Truck Stop; No Foul Play Suspected

TOPEKA, KANSAS — Topeka police discovered a dead body inside a semi truck trailer parked at a local truck stop Thursday afternoon, though authorities say no foul play is suspected.

Officers were notified shortly before 12:25 p.m. on February 26, 2026, about a suspicious vehicle parked at a truck stop in the 1800 block of Northwest Brickyard Road. Upon arrival, police located a parked semi truck bearing the Tyson Foods logo. Officers and crime scene investigators opened the trailer and discovered the body of one individual inside.

Topeka Police Department spokesperson Kimberly Qualls confirmed that no foul play is suspected in the death but released no further details regarding the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death.

Tyson Foods had not responded to requests for comment at the time of reporting.
